“pOrtal”
Inspired by the ever-changing landscape and light phenomena of the desert, we are able to experience an environment that lives and breathes around us.
We will be showcasing 3 artist from the High Desert that create and live in our beautiful region: Gubby Beck, Bo Spencer and Melisa Rimada. Each artist’s work explores the ambiguous boundaries between past and present, perception and reality and offers a moving meditation on the limits of what we can really know about each other. Their material, color and texture interacts with light and the perspective of the viewer shifts, so the form and perception of the works fluctuates.
